Patch App Privacy Policy

Patch Inc (“Patch”) is a technology service provider to veterinary clinics and hospitals. This Notice provides some basic information about Patch’s receipt and use of personal data in connection with its provision of services to its veterinary customers.  

Personal data means data that can be used to identify an individual person or household or reasonably capable of being associated with an individual person or household. De-identified data or aggregated data is not personal data.  

All personal data collected by a veterinary provider for use with Patch’s services, including client contact information, employee information, and audio recordings of any veterinary visits, is controlled by the veterinary provider. Patch serves as a service provider or processor and processes personal data pursuant to a written agreement with veterinary providers. As the data controller, the veterinary provider is responsible for complying with any applicable privacy or data protection laws and for directing Patch with respect to its handling of personal data. If you want to exercise any privacy rights you may have under applicable law, please contact your veterinary provider. Patch is unable to respond directly to your request.  

Please also note that some Patch technologies may involve the use of audio recordings and/or the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. If you do not want to be recorded or do not want AI tools used in connection with your personal data or a recording, please speak with your veterinary provider.
